Those hands built the city

It's sad but Dubai doesn't treat its workers good...People who build the city's skycrapers, malls and roads sometimes must wait long hours in the heat for a bus to take them to the campuses. Dirty, hungry and after a long shift they usually sit on the pavement and...wait.

Safety First

This was the view from my 9th floor apartment something like 1.5months ago. Now I don't see anything but the new building, not even the Sun. And for the lads in there obviously there's no need to use harness...

They poured concrete yesterday....

They poured concrete yesterday at night, again! Well, not these lads of course, but there is a tower being built beside our apartment building, and they usually start pouring concrete at around 12am. Here, in Dubai no one cares about people living near to construction site, so noises at night are quite popular. In Ireland we would get a hamper at least....

Foreign workers are all over Dubai, they actually blended with the landscape of Dubai, and it's hard to imagine the city without them.
