It's gettin' hot in here
It's getting hotter and hotter in UAE and I was thinking about animals in Dubai Zoo. Couple months ago we went there to check it out. We thought that rich emirate like Dubai would take care of animals' well being, but the Zoo is small and old, with little shade for animals, and no greenery. Shame on you, Dubai!

Unpolished Dubai (1)
One is for sure, all those TV programmes about Dubai won't show you the street life. Don't worry, I'll try:-)

Transport provided...
The advantage of living near to the construction site is that I don't have to even go out to take a shoot.

Desert challenge
Yesterday we had our first trip into the desert. After 40km of drive from Dubai, you actually hit the desert - and from that moment there is so much fun!
We've also learned to always have:
- A shovel
- A towing rope
- Good company, good humour and loads of water:-)

No pork
This sign you can see in parks in Dubai. So simply don't bring any pork to grill it. In UAE (and any muslim country) you won't find any restaurant serving pork, and if you can't imagine your life without a little bit of piggy go to Spinneys!

Safety First
This was the view from my 9th floor apartment something like 1.5months ago. Now I don't see anything but the new building, not even the Sun. And for the lads in there obviously there's no need to use harness...

All that glitters...
Yesterday we spent a nice day out with our friends in Abu Dhabi. The photo shows Indian jewellery which you can buy at India Palace restaurant in Abu Dhabi.

Dubai curiosities (2)
Yeap, that's a goat in the car's trunk. It seems that in Dubai you have to be always prepared to take a shoot...

They poured concrete yesterday....
They poured concrete yesterday at night, again! Well, not these lads of course, but there is a tower being built beside our apartment building, and they usually start pouring concrete at around 12am. Here, in Dubai no one cares about people living near to construction site, so noises at night are quite popular. In Ireland we would get a hamper at least....

Lazy Creek
Today another one from Creek. It's just so much fun to go there and look at the abras and ships passing by.

How was your weekend, anyway...
Sorry for no post yesterday. We were at the Marina beach and the weather was lovely. There is plenty going on at the Marina Walk at the moment because of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) - stalls selling different gadgets, sculptures standing on the Walk, some entertaining for kids and of course loads of people, so it's hard to get a seat at your favourite cafe.

Construction workers during the break
Foreign workers are all over Dubai, they actually blended with the landscape of Dubai, and it's hard to imagine the city without them.

Chamber of Secrets
If you just go to Dubai Museum's courtyard and look around, you spot this beautifully carved wood door.

Can't belive it's February already!
Having an aquarium is very popular right now, e.g. Dubai Mall. "The fish" is residing at Atlantis aquarium.
