Middle East feel
This room has got truly arabic feel - low table and sofas, and great mix of fabrics. It's great for hot days, too, as you're sitting directly under wind tower.

Shallow water
I just love a low tide! I always go on a shallow water where you can sit, lay down, relax and cool down.

Big Boys Toys
Replica of Lotus Super 7 on Dubai roads - as you can imagine, the car draws everybody's attention. So, if you have some extra pocket money :-), buy yourself a toy like that - you won't go unmissed.

Textil Souq
In Textil Souq you can find huge selection of different, very colourful fabrics, though some of them are pretty kitchy...Still, there's loads of fun hunting for a right one.

Sand is in the air
Today visibility in Dubai was rather poor, which reminded me about a little sand storm we had few days ago.

To end my little series, I'd like to invite you to Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. It's hard to believe that almost in the center of the city you can find a bird paradise, with majority of pink flamingos. There are little huts built around the Creek from where you can observe the birds.

Dubai experience must include smoking shisha. All over Dubai you shouldn't have problem to find one, but if you want to indulge yourself then Shisha Courtyart at One & Only Royal Mirrage is a good pick.

Shopping is one of the attractions of Dubai! Big (and small) brands you'll find in any shopping mall in Dubai, but if you fancy pashmina shawl, carpet or at least cushion cover then head to Sharjah's beautiful Blue Souq. You'll find there great selection of gifts and better prices too (this will also depend on your bargain skills).

If you are fed up with chaos of Dubai and you want to go some place close to the nature, then rent a 4x4 for a day and drive to Hatta Pools. Make sure you've got the right directions and then go to see these natural rock formation. Some off-road experience can be added if you want as you will be passing next to the Big Red dune.

If you want to find yourself close to not-finished-yet-but-already-iconic Burj Dubai (the highest building in the world) then look no further. Head to Souk Al Bahar where beautiful surroundings compliment the tower. The place is not so popular yet, so you can have a quiet and relaxing meal in one of the cafes overlooking Burj Dubai.

In Dubai you have a great opportunity to see the mosque inside. The guided tours are held every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. So if you want to see how it is inside and ask some questions, simply show up yourself at 10am in front of Jumeirah Mosque. Remember to wear clothes covering your legs and arms, also, women are required to wear head scarf. More information here.

Medinat Jumeirah is a fairy-tale place. Architecture is inspired by old arabic designs, and you can feel the atmosphere of old souq (except prices which are more touristy than bargain, but the quality is better than some places else). Also, make sure that you have a meal in one of the waterfront restaurants from where you can see iconic Burj Al Arab.

Hi! My sister came over to Dubai for her holidays, and I'll be a tourist guide for a next few days:-)So, I thought: why don't you join us! All welcome!
Today we spend a day browsing Spice and Textil souqs, visiting Dubai Museum and strolling through Bastakiya quarter.
Great smell and exotic spices you'll find in Spice Souq on Deira side of the Creek. Abra crossing is another attraction and costs only 1 Dhs!Girls can get some beautiful henna tattoo while in Dubai Museum (one hand cost only 20 Dhs!)
Find some nice corners in Bastakyia, get some coffee, grab nice bite and relax! (Pictured: XVA Cafe - aubergine burger is highly recommended!)

Those Magnificent Men in Their (desert) Machines...
....well, I would rather call them crazy. But if you don't know how to spend your Friday, go to Big Red dune, bring some picnic food and watch all those crazy drivers who try to get themselves on the top of the dune. Unbelievable...

Sheikh Zayed Road by night
Sheikh Zayed Road must be also appreciated by night. Every building wants to be better lit, with greater illuminations and lights effects. But every time I drive through Sheikh Zayed Rd it always makes me say: "wow".
