Design Dubai: Kartell

One of my favourite brands - italian Kartell, has got a showroom here, on Jumeirah Road (between Jumeirah Beach Hotel and KFC). Inside they've got all you'd expect them to have - Marcel Wanders' stools, Philippe Starck's Ghost chairs, Ferruccio Laviani's lamps, to name just a few. But there is one disappointing fact - each item is charged double as what you'd pay in Europe...

Design Dubai: Ted Baker at Dubai Mall

Hi, today I'd like to start new series: Design Dubai. In the city has a handful of nice, cool places that offer good interior design and pretty good selection of products. Today: Ted Baker's changing room. Well, I must admit that the cabin is small and darkish, and this makes deciding about buying that new clothes a little bit difficult, but plush curtain, cast iron chair and a quirky squirrel lamp make enough excuse to go there and check it out.

Sheikh Zayed by night

Well..., that's been a few very busy days moving the house. But finally, it's over and now we can enjoy our new very convenient location and...a roof swimming pool with view like this!

The Greens (soon)...

I'm so busy right now that I don't even have time to update my blog :-(
But the thing is that we are moving in/out, so I'm up and down between 2 apartments, trying to arrange things, do some cleaning and painting. Uff...

Grand Hyatt's Panini

Great coffee (my favourite - Illy), and mouth-watering desserts you can find in italian style Panini cafe at Grand Hyatt Dubai (close to Wafi). Also, they sell everyone's favourite italian goodies like Cantucci biscuits.

Atlantis Dubai

So much money spent to build the Atlantis..., but, hmm, public space interiors are so kitchy. Money well spent?
